A couple of weeks ago I got to attend and photograph the wedding of Alicia (my brother in-law James’ sister) and Nick.

It was a great day…

Alicia look absolutely beautiful,

James walked her down the aisle which was super sweet,

Miss Jessie Sue (my niece) was a flower girl for the first time,

Nick may or may not have shed a couple of tears,

And the reception was a late night dance party.

So much fun!

Congrats Alicia , Allie and Nick…

You make the sweetest little family xoxo

That’s it!  The last wedding of the season … I thought for sure with all the rain weddings we had this year that we were in for a treat weather wise for Steph and Tim’s wedding but what a surprise we got… It was a super mild day for November and we were able to able to shoot comfortably outside… A great way to end the season. It was a beautiful day, and I got to witness a day full of great family and friend connections. Steph and Tim carried on a great tradition of being the third generation of their family to marry in the St. John’s Lutheran Church on Hyw 3 … Pretty special I think.

Along with beautiful connections, comes lots of moments of laughter. This day was definitely FULL of it, from getting ready in the morning, in the church (Tim with his wisecracks), during the portraits and as you will see, throughout the evening during the great speeches and the dancing.

Stephanie and Tim, thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your day… It was a beautiful and it was a pleasure to witness and capture all the lovely connections you have with your family and friends. You are well loved that’s for sure and I wish you all the best!

PS. I need more donkeys at all my weddings lol :)

Alrighty, here are the pics from Jamie + Chris (GO TIME) LaPlante’s (my cousin) wedding!

It was great day full of laughs

Had a good time shooting and a good time going through all the pics this week, reliving some of the moments

Especially the ones Sam (my friend photographer friend/assistant) took during dinner and the dances (as I attended the wedding from that point on)

To my family, I hope you enjoy going through the pics

And to Jamie and Chris, a big congrats and I love you both!

Sabrina + Andy – 2013.10.28

A small service with just family members…

A little backyard party with all their friends and family to end the night…

A no non sense wedding day is all she wanted …

And a no non sense wedding is what she got…

It was a perfect day for Sabrina and Andy…

The weather, the service Andy’s dad took part in, the delicious food, the details and of course…

The presence of all their close friends and family …

Congrats Sabrina + Andy!

The Maloneys and the Kaufmans …

Two clans all about family…

Uniting this makes one beautiful thing.

When I first heard that their large party was basically all made up of family members  (siblings, spouses of siblings and cousins) I thought that was pretty special. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and seeing the whole crew together, hearing their stories during the speeches at dinner,  I knew I  was definitely invited to something special. Its not too often you see families like this so close where everyone hangs out together. It is definitely something to be admired. It looks like Sarah and Chris are in for a lovely life together as they have something pretty special going with their family, friends and of course, each other.

To a beautiful life you two…

Thanks for asking me to be a part of your special day.

Even though it was grey and rainy it became a lovely day thanks to some lovely people.

PS. Oh, did I forget to say that Sarah’s brother (Andrew) was the Maid of Honour and Chris’ sister (Anne) was the Best Man (Woman) – How neat is that?

Some of you may recognize this lovely lady…

There is a group of individuals who wait for her to return home (from Israel) every summer to teach four weeks of the most wonderful yoga classes. This year I was fortunate enough to take part in all (but two) of the twelve classes and not only was that a huge gift in itself, I was also asked to photograph her upcoming marriage to the lovely Boaz.

It was a scorcher week of summer heat but the temperatures managed to drop after a night of rain and we were blessed with the most beautiful day. Along with this beautiful day came the perfect setting (parents back yard), casual attire, bare feet, fellow yogis standing up with them at the front alter, the chanting of gayatri mantra, delicious food, after dinner entertainment provided by friends and family, poi (performance art by Rox herself), bonfire, and a little dancing on the grass…

All the elements of a perfect small summer wedding :)

Thanks Roxy + Boaz for asking me to be a part of your very special day…

Namaste

This is Melissa and Troy. They had a teeny tiny wedding at the Botanical Gardens in Niagara Falls. I met with them for a couple of hours to capture these photos of their First Look and their beautiful ceremony under the willow tree … A perfect setting on a beautiful summer day.
